Although the plant rafts are very durable when in use and handled properly, shipping them takes special efforts. For shipping, the plant rafts are bulky, yet fragile and must be carefully packaged to reduce the chance of damage when in transit.
The price shown includes:

- Boxing and special packaging for “fragile” item
- Shipping in the continental US

If you are outside the continental US, you will have additional shipping charges. We will not ship until we have collected the additional charges.
Our Plant Rafts for aquaponics are safe for food contact and have been designed specifically for our needs in aquaponic food production. The polystyrene resin complies with FDA requirements for food contact applications.
The Nelson and Pade Plant Rafts for Aquaponics will not degrade when in a greenhouse or floating in the system water.

Prior to our pre-fab Plant Rafts, aquaponic growers purchased 4′ x 8′ sheets of dense polystyrene, such as Dow Board, and cut it into four rafts. Then, they had to drill the holes in each raft. With our rafts, you save the time and hassle of cutting and drilling plant rafts for aquaponics. Plus, they are safe for food contact.
