Nelson and Pade, Inc.®, Montello, WI, offers aquaponic systems, training and consulting. In aquaponics, fish and vegetables are raised in a soilless, recirculating system without the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. We have 14,000 sq. ft. of shop space where we assemble systems that we sell and we have a comfortable and casual office in which the sales and daily business take place.

The person filling this position will assist in the packaging and assembly of Nelson and Pade Aquaponic Systems®. Duties include counting and organizing parts, labeling and bagging parts, drilling and cutting plastic tanks and PVC pipe, assembly of components, palletizing and preparing the systems for shipment. Additionally, this person will be responsible for keeping the work space clean and organized and returning tools and equipment to the assigned location. This position is held at Nelson and Pade, Inc.®’s manufacturing campus in Montello, WI.
This position is part-time, 15-30 hours/week, days and times are negotiable. All work is between M-F, 8am – 5pm.
The Nelson and Pade, Inc.® management will provide guidance and training.
Requirements and Skills:
Individuals applying should have:
- Basic building skills, such as reading a tape measure and properly using tools such as saws and drills, wrenches, cutting and gluing PVC.
- Good verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Clean driving record
- A willingness and ability to take and follow instructions
Additional attributes that we are looking for include:
- Experience operating a fork lift
- Hardworking, dedicated, meticulous, self-motivated and a positive attitude
- Having diverse skills in building, manufacturing, repair and plumbing is an asset.
