Nelson and Pade, Inc.®, the leader of the aquaponic industry, is excited to announce a new partnership with the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (UWSP). This partnership allows Nelson and Pade, Inc.® to offer undergraduate and graduate credit through an accredited university, the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, for participation in the Nelson and Pade, Inc.® Aquaponics Master Class®. College credit, both at the graduate or undergraduate level, can provide college students nationwide the opportunity to expand their aquaponics education. Furthermore, offering credit options can help K-12 educators with advancement.
The course, Special Topics in Biology: Aquaponics (Bio 489/689), is open to any university student and there are no course pre-requisites. Participants interested in receiving college credit for Aquaponics Master Class® attendance do not need to be enrolled at UWSP or a resident of Wisconsin. The credit is transferable to other colleges and universities. The requirements for course completion are full attendance of the Aquaponics Master Class® and a project assignment.
Nelson and Pade, Inc.® can also offer Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) through UWSP for participation in Nelson and Pade, Inc.®’s Aquaponics Master Class®. Many professionals need professional development recognition for certification, licensure renewal or advancement and attending events that offer CUE’s is a way to achieve this.
Nelson and Pade, Inc.®, in partnership with UW-Stevens Point, is also offering a 3-credit, full semester course on aquaponics, the Introduction to Aquaponics Course.
