Notes about the tour:  This is a general tour that will introduce you to Nelson and Pade, Inc., aquaponic food production and Clear Flow Aquaponic Systems®.   You will see various sizes and types of aquaponic systems and many different crops. 

You will learn about the concepts of aquaponics, about the accomplishments of Nelson and Pade, Inc., about tilapia culture in aquaponics, plant selection, seeding and harvesting, types of aquaponics including the raft method, NFT and media beds and an introduction to the greenhouse and controlled environment agriculture. 

On the tour, we do not cover system design, water flow dynamics, system plumbing or advanced concepts.  If you are interested in learning more details, consider attending one of our Aquaponics Master Classes.   

Tour options

Regular Scheduled Tours

  • $10/adults; $5/14 years and aquaponics toursunder
  • Each adult receives a sample head of our premium quality lettuce
  • Approximately 1 hour
  • Every Friday, 1pm, please call ahead to reserve space

Private Tours

  • Scheduled in advance
  • $95, 1-5 people
  • Receive a sample head of our premium quality lettuce
  • Approximately 1 hour

Group Tours

  • Garden clubs, school groups, community groups, etc
  • Scheduled in advance

    Minimum of 20 people, $4.50/person

  • Approximately 1 hour



Call ahead to reserve your space. We only offer tours on our scheduled dates or those that have been pre-arranged. We cannot accommodate unscheduled tours.

Farm Stand

You can purchase fresh fish and vegetables at our on-site farm stand.

Tour Rules 

  • There is no video allowed. Photography is limited to general photos only.
  • All greenhouse guests must follow our bio-security procedures.
  • All greenhouse guests must show up in clean clothing and shoes, free of dirt, plant material and debris.
  • There is no smoking on the toursproperty.
