Aquaponics Greenhouse Manager

Business: Eco-Rich Greenhouse is a new aquaponics farm that uses aquaponic technology in a 12,000 sq. ft. controlled environment greenhouse to produce fresh, local vegetables and fish, all grown in a sustainable manner without the use of pesticides, herbicides, chemicals, antibiotics or growth hormones. Assembly of the aquaponic system will begin in early July, with the guidance of the manufacturer, Nelson and Pade, Inc.
Job Description: The Greenhouse Manager will initially be responsible for completing the assembly of the aquaponic systems and support equipment, following the guidelines and assembly recommendations of Nelson and Pade, Inc., setting up and operating the fish nursery, managing the start-up of the aquaponic systems and, once they are fully operational, overseeing the daily operation of all aquaponic systems and components, fish and vegetable culture. Nelson and Pade Inc will provide training in areas needed.
Required Skills: The Greenhouse Manager will need to be mechanically inclined and have good plumbing and building skills for the assembly and startup phase. Once the facility is in full operation, Greenhouse Manager will oversee daily maintenance, filter maintenance, fish feed rates and feeding, fish and plant health, plant seeding, transplanting, harvest and packaging, bio-security and Good Agriculture Practices programs and
Abilities should include management, organization and problem resolution skills. Experience in aquaculture, hydroponics and or controlled environment agriculture will be very helpful.
Compensation: Based on experience. Will include salary plus production/sales bonus.
